The skies opened up suddenly on Thursday afternoon for about an hour of heavy rain, inundating several flood prone areas. Though the downpour was relatively short in comparison to instances experienced in the past, it reminded residents how quickly certain districts can experience flooding and the importance of several ongoing projects to construct proper drainage facilities around the island.
