Iranian trying to fly to UK on forged passport arrested at airport

An Iranian national attempting to fly London on a forged passport from the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) was arrested today morning, police said.

The man was arrested by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) officials deployed at the airport.

He was produced before the Negombo Magistrate and remanded until August 26.
