A total of 2500 traffic violations were detected and successfully prosecuted with the help of the Close Circuit TV (CCTV) cameras installed at various locations in the metropolis, police said today.
The detections, made over a period of six months included, hit and run cases, parking violations, failing to obey signal lightings, accidents etc, police said.
They added that a string of thefts had also been detected with the help of the cameras during this same period.
