UK Foreign Secretary William Hague said on Wednesday that he demanded Iranian diplomats to leave London within 48 hours. He told the UK parliament that he also required Iranian diplomats to close the Iranian Embassy in London. The UK withdrew its diplomatic mission from Iran after Iranian students raided the British embassy on Tuesday.
Following Hague's statement, France, Germany and the Netherlands also announced that they are recalling their ambassador to Iran for consultation.
