Gaddafi defiant as Clinton says his aides contacted Western powers

Libyan leader Colonel Muammar Gaddafi expressed his confidence in gaining a victory on the Western forces, calling the Muslim peoples to support him. Gaddafi denied the rumors that circulated recently about his escape out of the country, in a speech aired by Libyan television in the early hours of Wednesday.

The Libyan ruler said the foreign forces, which lead the attack on his country, will be defeated in the end. "We will not surrender ... we will defeat them in every way," he stated. And Gaddafi: "I'm staying here, my home is here, I'm staying in my tent."
