Yemen: Seven al Qaeda members including senior media official, killed in attack

The chief of the media department of al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula and six other other  members were killed in an air raid on terror outposts in Yemen. Gunmen retaliated by blowing up a gas export pipeline, Yemeni officials and locals said on Saturday.

According to Reuters, the Yemeni Defence Ministry said Ibrahim al-Banna, an Egyptian national, was killed in a raid by Yemeni war planes on positions in Shabwa province in southern Yemen late on Friday. However, other sources suggested the attacks were conducted by the Americans.
