An electrician who attempted to pull a ‘grease yaka’ prank with a friend through a SMS message was arrested by police and later remanded by the Trincomalee Additional Magistrate Rohan Jayewardene earlier today.
The man was arrested after the SMS message ended up on a wrong phone where the owner instantly alerted the police who later traced the electrician.
The suspect from Parraittu in Trincomalee was remanded to September 12.
