SZV opens Customer Care Center for more efficiency

page1b218PHILIPSBURG--Clients visiting Social and Health Insurances (SZV) now have a specific area to make their appointments and to obtain general information on where to go for what services.

The insurance service provider on Wednesday officially opened its Customer Care Center. Health Minister Cornelius de Weever, who attended the ceremony, said the opening of the centre shows that things are moving in the right direction at SZV.

The Customer Care Center is located in the lower section of SZV's main branch in Philipsburg. It takes over the task previously performed by the security personnel at SZV.

SZV Chief Operations Officer (COO) Reginald Willemsberg said the centre was unofficially opened days ago to give SZV time to iron out kinks and challenges encountered.

He said the move was part of efforts by SZV to improve its customer care and for greater efficiency at the insurance service provider. He said in the past SZV was faced with complaints from clients such as being unable to reach the insurance service provider by phone, having to wait too long for service and inefficient customer care. He said SZV responded to this by creating the Customer Care Center under the guidance of Customer Care Coordinator Orianda Rojer.

He said clients will be given information as to where exactly they should go for what service, make appointments and have their questions on other customer related matters answered.

He said too that SZV staffers will be undergoing training with the St. Maarten Superhost so that everyone can be on the same level where customer care is concerned. The centre is still to be equipped with a sign, which will be done in the near future.

De Weever told reporters at Wednesday's Council of Minister's press briefing that he has been working very closely with SZV and he also attended the retreat where staff and management brainstormed about their challenges and came up with solutions. "It was impressive to see a new country organisation look at themselves in the mirror and were honest enough to say this is my problem and how can I fix it. I am looking forward to continuous improvements by SZV and by them opening Customer Service I am optimistic about the future of SZV."
