A young man nurses a severely crushed left leg and head injuries crashing his motorbike head on into an oncoming car on L.B. Scott Road in the vicinity of Cake House just after 9:00pm Friday. The rider, who was carrying a woman riding pillion, was taken to St. Maarten Medical Center for treatment. The woman on the bike fled the scene of the accident after the impact. Witnesses said she woman had run toward the Caribe Lumber cricket field. The bike rider reportedly attempted to make a U-turn, causing the accident. Photos by John Halley.
