Some 67 percent of Egyptians who took part in a voluntary online poll earlier this month support the death penalty for ex-President Hosni Mubarak. 22 percent oppose his execution.
The opinion poll was conducted by the British "You Gov" agency. The support rises among young people for up to 77% in the age group of 18 to 24, and 70% among those aged between 25 and 29 years, according to the results of the poll which included in 1012 Egyptians. It was carried out between the 5th and 7th of August.
