Causeway

This is an artist's impression of the proposed causeway through Simpson Bay Lagoon that will connect the Simpson Bay area to the Cole Bay area (Port de Plaisance). The project has come under heavy scrutiny from many residents of the Simpson Bay and Beacon Hill areas with some referring to the project as a waste of money. Government has maintained that based on traffic studies that have been conducted, the causeway will alleviate traffic in the area, a topic of complaints over the past two years.
