The import of duty on Dhal, sugar and Garlic has been increased with effect from today, officials said.
Dhal has been increased by Rs eight per kilogram, sugar by Rs five and Garlic by Rs. 15.
The decision to increase Dhal wwas made to maintain prices of local pulses.
The import duty of palm oil has been increased by Rs. 10 per kilo.
The imports duty on fish too has bee increased to 35 per cent.
