The Egyptian al Fajr newspaper reported late Friday, that ousted President Mohamed Hosni Mubarak, who is receiving treatment at the International Medical Center, had survived an assassination attempt. Quoting unnamed sources, it said a military doctor, in the rank of major tried to strangle Mubarak in the hospital on November 3.
