Earthquake near Maldives, no tsunami threat to SL

No tsunami warning has been issued following the 4.7 magnitude earthquake reported 341 km southwest of Colombo and 260 km off Galle near the Maldive Islands today, an official of the Disaster Management Centre said.

The DMC or the Meteorology Department has not issued tsunami warning.
