Fire Department called out Christmas morning

DUTCH QUARTER--Fire fighters assisted a family living on Mount William Hill with putting out a small house fire Christmas Day around 4:30am.
According to the Fire Department, a person inside the home lit a candle that fell over. The open flame caused a fire to spread. The family attempted to put out the flames and clear the smoke themselves. Unsuccessful in doing this, they called the Fire Department to complete the job.

No one was reported injured. Mostly walls of the home sustained a large degree of smoke damage.
